Website Connector
In this workshop, you will upload a website sitemap and web schema file to the website connector you created in the Create a Sitemap workshop. Together, these files specify which website interaction events to capture and how they are mapped before being ingested into Data 360.

Upload Schema
Review & Download Option
Sitemap Builder provides an option to download the generated sitemap and schema to your local machine for upload to a website connector. However, to ensure consistency and accuracy for subsequent workshop exercises, please use the sitemap and web schema files provided in this exercise, instead of exporting them from Sitemap Builder.
- Click the icon from the top setup menu and select Data Cloud Setup.
- In the quick find field, enter
Websitesand select Websites & Mobile Apps from the navigation menu. - Click the Training Site connector that you created in the previous workshop.
- Right-click this link and save the file to your local computer.
- Select

Review Data Streams & Relationships
In a typical implementation, you would first construct your sitemap and schema, then deploy your data streams and configure object mappings afterward. However, in the Setup Personalization workshop, you deployed a data kit that included pre-defined data streams and object mappings ahead of time. This was a time-saving step designed to avoid waiting for stream deployment and completing the mappings manually.
In this exercise, you will review the three deployed data streams to become familiar with their structure and understand how their objects have already been mapped. This will help you see how the sitemap and schema connect to the underlying data model that supports personalization.
- Search and select Data Cloud from App Launcher
. - Select the Data Streams tab.
- Click ...
For the training, we had you deploy a datakit with predefined object mappings for your web connector to save time waiting for the streams to deploy / manually mapping objects. What you will see is that there are 3 data streams that got deployed: behavioral events, identity, and contactPointemail. Click in to each of these data streams to get a sense of their structure and mappings. The behavioral events data stream contains a section on the left hand side for each engagement schema object you defined. Each of these can be mapped to 1 DMO. The identity stream defines how we handle device id, and then any additional contact points we define or additional identifiers, would have their own dedicated stream for mapping.
